Admissions to Online and Distance Education Programmes
This policy aims at providing procedures and guidelines with respect to the Admission process of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Jeppiaar Nagar, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai 600 119. The Policy framework refers to the admission to the various Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programs offered by the Institution. This framework comprises of basic rules with respect to admissions and any modification in this policy should be brought by an amendment with due approval from the Board of Management. This policy framework supersedes the earlier policy framework and comes into practice after the due approval from the Board of Management.

Eligibility Criteria
For Undergrduate Programmes:
- 10+2 in any stream or equivalent
- Eligibility, admission criteria or any other condition mentioned here in or otherwise for admission to any programme is subject to change as prescribed by the university
- Undergraduate degree from a recognized university in 10+2+3 pattern with Mathematics as a subject of study in +2 or in undergraduate level or an Examination of any other competent Agency accepted by the Board of Management.
- Eligibility, admission criteria or any other condition mentioned here in or otherwise for admission to any programme is subject to change as prescribed by the university
Admission Procedure
The admission procedure for the online and distance education programmes is purely based on merit.
Course Duration
- For Undergraduation programmes the duration of the course is THREE years and the maximum number of years to complete the degree is SIX years.
- For Postgraduation programmes the duration of the course is TWO years and the maximum number of years to complete the degree is FOUR years.
Medium of Instruction
The Medium of Instruction for both the UG and PG programs is ENGLISH only.
