Three Years Online Degree Programme
The Bachelor of English program at Sathyabama is a three-year undergraduate course aimed at equipping students to comprehend and utilize English effectively. It focuses on expanding vocabulary and introducing contemporary ideas and issues. The program offers in-depth exploration of literature, encouraging students to critically evaluate major literary works and enhance their linguistic skills through both theoretical and practical sessions. Students receive comprehensive exposure to all genres of writing, including novels, dramas, poetry, and non-fictional prose.

Programme Specific Objective
- PSO 1: Through reading of literature and knowledge of linguistics and exposure to creative writing, , they display higher order thinking in the knowledge domain and demonstrate professional skills in their writings and presentations.
- PSO 2: To enable them to practice critical thinking skills through course materials and making them do projects and publish papers, by reading literature to address the complex issues of identity, nationalism, historical tradition in Indian context and issues of sexuality and Gender
- PSO 3: To enable them analyse various language patterns, sentence structures and dialogue forms so as to effectively communicating with others by exposing them to genres of English stylistics so as to well prepare them to enter competitive world of employment.
