The Anti-Ragging Cell functions with a strict Zero Tolerance to Ragging policy and is dedicated to preventing ragging in all its forms. Through continuous awareness programmes, monitoring, and preventive measures, the Cell ensures a ragging-free environment across the campus, hostels, and transportation facilities. The Institution remains steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding the dignity, safety, and well-being of every student, enabling them to learn, grow, and excel in a secure and supportive atmosphere.


What constitutes Ragging?

Ragging constitutes one or more of the following acts:


  1. Any conduct by a student, whether by spoken or written words or by an act, that has the effect of teasing, treating, or handling a fresher or any other student with rudeness.
  2. Indulging in indisciplined activities that cause or are likely to cause annoyance, hardship, physical or psychological harm, or raise fear or apprehension in a fresher or any other student.
  3. Asking a student to perform any act that they would not ordinarily undertake and which causes or generates a sense of shame, torment, or embarrassment, thereby adversely affecting the physique or psyche of the fresher or any other student.
  4. Any act by a senior student that prevents, disrupts, or disturbs the regular academic activities of a fresher or any other student.
  5. Exploiting the services of a fresher or any other student for completing academic tasks assigned to an individual or a group of students.
  6. Any act of financial extortion or the imposition of a forceful expenditure burden on a fresher or any other student.
  7. Any act of physical abuse, including sexual abuse, assaults, stripping, forcing obscene or indecent acts or gestures, causing bodily harm, or endangering the health or safety of any student.
  8. Any act of verbal, written, electronic, or online abuse, including emails, posts, or public insults, that derives perverted pleasure, vicarious enjoyment, or sadistic thrill from actively or passively causing discomfort to a fresher or any other student.
  9. Any act that adversely affects the mental health, dignity, or self-confidence of a fresher or any other student.
Administrative Action Against Those Found Guilty

Students found guilty of ragging may be subjected to one or more of the following disciplinary actions:

  1. Suspension from attending classes and other academic privileges.
  2. Withholding or withdrawal of scholarships, fellowships, and other benefits.
  3. Debarring from appearing for any test, examination, or other evaluation process.
  4. Withholding of examination results.
  5. Debarring from representing the Institution in regional, national, or international events, tournaments, youth festivals, and similar activities.
  6. Suspension from or expulsion from the hostel.
  7. Cancellation of admission.
  8. Rustication from the Institution for a period ranging from one to four semesters.
  9. Expulsion from the Institution and consequent debarment from admission to any other institution for a specified period.

EVERY STUDENT NEED TO SUBMIT TWO UNDERTAKING TO BE FILLED ONLINE WHICH IS TO BE FILLED BY THE STUDENT AND PARENT. THESE TWO UNDERTAKINGS HAVE TO BE PRINTED AND SUBMITTED TO ARC COMMITTEE.
